Conclusion

Once you grok Gomadic's "tip exchange" system, I think you'll agree it's a brilliant idea. With over 1500 available tips, one AC or DC adapter can charge more portable devices than anyone reading this owns. All you need is the right tip for your device, like.. you know.. a Treo. All their tips are the same price.

The new QuadCharge is a slick piece of engineering that charges up to four devices at the same time, using only ONE AC wall adapter. Although it's nearly 100% plastic, I think it's fairly stylish, its soft and grippy rubber top keeps your electronics from sliding around all over the place, and you can plug and unplug devices at any time, without affecting any other devices it's charging. All you need to do is find some place to put it. Hopefully your home is a bit less cluttered than mine.

The QuadCharge's only real downside is the lack of internal, spring-loaded retracting spools to reel-in those four charging cords. Otherwise, if it's worth fifty bucks to turn the before mess into the after shipshape, I don't know of any other device currently on the market that does what this one does.
