Treo 180 lowered by $50

Wed Sep 4, 2002 - 9:21 AM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

Handspring today lowered the price of the Treo 180 with $50, dropping the price with service activation to $349 (w/o activation to $549).

There is now a $150 dollar price difference between the Treo 180 and the newer Treo 270.

By looking at Handspring's past price reductions, it is likely that we will see additional price drops of the 180 shortly. Once the Treo 270 model starts hitting retail shelves, we expect sales of the 180 model to decrease significantly unless an additional price cut is made, since the 270 is well worth the extra $150).
