Mobile Web Trumps Games

Fri Jul 9, 2010 - 2:54 PM EDT - By Annie Latham

Making the rounds this week are the results of the Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project from May 2010.

>> The report found that six in ten American adults now go online wirelessly using either a mobile phone or a laptop with a wireless internet connection, which isn't surprising.

>> The percentage of Internet users, 38, is now greater than the number who play games (34)

>> All "non-voice data apps" (from video recording to music playing) are up as well.

Pew's take is that "users are taking advantage of a much wider range of their phones' capabilities."
