Conclusion

With the exception of AOL rejecting my logon, the program functioned as advertised. While it is possible to keep all six supported IM services live at the same time and to see everyone online, I think you might be a certifiable nut case if you tried to keep up six different chats on six different services simultaneously. Then again, maybe that’s exactly what you want to do. Hopefully, future versions will have more of the features found in desktop applications such as the ability to transfer files and pictures.

Overall, I found IM+ useful for chatting with friends and colleagues who subscribe to the different Instant Messaging services without having to log out and log in crossing back and forth among messengers. It’s a small price to pay to save your sanity and all the toil and trouble.
