Get all you need, all in one.

The Treo™ 650 smartphone from palmOne makes it easier than ever to stay connected. It simplifies your life by combining a compact mobile phone with email, an organizer, messaging, and web access. There’s also Bluetooth® technology so you can connect wirelessly to other Bluetooth devices. Not to mention an MP3 player, a digital camera that captures video, and a vibrant color screen that brings everything to life – all in a device that’s still small enough to fit in your pocket. Seems like Treo smartphones just keep getting smarter.

Pick up a smarter phone.

The Treo 650 smartphone looks and feels just like a phone, but it’s so much more. Carry thousands of business and personal phone numbers with you, and dial any of them by name from your contacts list. Or enter a name or number on the QWERTY keyboard. There’s even an on-screen dial pad. speakerphone, speed dial, conference calling, call history, and caller ID make managing all your calls that much easier.

Stay connected with email and messaging.

The included VersaMail email client makes it easy to access and manage your email on the go4 – whether you use a popular desktop email client, IMAP or POP3. View photos, HTML, and even native Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint attachments. Synchronize your corporate Microsoft Exchange email and calendar with built-in Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync®. Or, opt to exchange quick thoughts, ideas, and images on the fly – all from a single inbox – with the built-in text and picture messaging application. With your messages threaded in a chat-style view, you’ll be able to see the entire conversation.

Organize your entire world.

With Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Memos and more, the Treo 650 smartphone lets you organize and simplify your business and personal life – all in one place. You can synchronize your calendar and contacts with your computer, so everything’s always up to date. Plus, if you already have a Palm Powered™ handheld or smartphone, you can transfer your information with the touch of a button. Best of all, you can expand the functions of your Treo smartphone by adding any of the thousands of applications available for Palm Powered™ devices.

Access the Internet.

Access a whole world of websites – without wires. Get driving directions from the road. Check the latest headlines while waiting in line. Or download ringtones, applications and more, directly to your device. Web sites load quickly and the built-in Blazer® web browser even displays frames.

Point. Shoot. Play.

Optimized for multimedia, the Treo 650 does it all. Take and play your favorite tunes by transferring MP3s from your desktop. Or use the built-in digital camera to snap pictures and capture video and create digital photo/video albums to take on the road. Then show off your shots on a bright color screen that brings everything to life – even in sunlight. Better yet, point, shoot and share your moments instantly via email or picture messaging. And, with the MultiMediaCard/SD expansion slot you can add even more pictures and music, plus books, games, memory – you name it.

Connect with Bluetooth® wireless devices.

Talk on your headset or synchronize with your desktop without wires getting in the way. Or, use the Treo 650 hands and wire-free with a Bluetooth car kit. It has Bluetooth wireless technology built-in, so you can connect with a variety of Bluetooth-enabled devices.

Constant reboots and hang ups
After fighting the 650 for over a year, I pushed my vendor (sprint) into giving me an upgrade to the Treo 755p for two of my company's devices. Both of the new 755p's constantly reboot. I already had one completely crash within the first 3 months and now the replacement on, which I've only had for 3 days, is rebooting 5 to 6 times per day. I can't believe that Palm/Treo can get away with releasing this product. Many of the people in this column who recomment the Treo are even indicating that they love the interface, so they give it a thumbs up even though they have to deal with constan problems. This doesn't even make sense! Treo needs to fix their problems or they will be pushed out of the market.

Constantly rebooting!
No! It's awful, freezes all the time. Now, after rebooting 4 times today, I still can't use the touchscreen-it's simply non-responsive.

solid, clear, usable
I've had the treo 650 for a couple of years now, and apart from a few resets, and a bit of beginners problems with the sync., I'v had NO problems what so ever. Tried HTC's MS Windows phones. Sucks, and the have no PIM-features like the Palms do

Amazing!
I now own a PalmOne Treo 650 and i love the screen! Not only is is big and bright, but it also is touch-responsive. The pictures and videos are also very great. I love to listen to music, so i just pick up my treo and presss play, and the loud, VZW, speaker gives me what i want. I would definatley rcommend the PalmOne Treo 650.

Great with a few bugs
Have had my 650 for almost a year. First smartphone and love it. Does freeze on me every so often, but not a major problem. Going to Japan soon, so will likely upgrade to the 750 with Cingular for UTMS service in Japan.

Can't live without it
After two and a half years with my 650, I have to say that the only reason I would want a different phone is to improve my Sprint coverage in my office building. All the functions fit my needs. I use Agendus Pro which makes it an even better package. I also like that I can do just about everything with one hand. Furthermore, the battery life is great. I am a heavy corporate e-mail user, and once I installed the latest Sprint update, the phone became as stable as a rock. Not to mention physically. I've dropped it a dozen times and it keeps performing as new. Who needs WI-FI with being always wireless. It works great with Exchange Active Sync. I'm tempted to move up to the 700P for the instant push capability. But for now I'm pretty content. It is a tool for me to be more productive. It isn't a trophy to show off. Get this if you want a real workhorse.

unreliable
After a year of owning this, I've had it and am scrapping it for a Blackberry. It's freezes, drops calls and has to be rebooted way too often for no apparent reason - like just switching from one function to another, or just answering a call. I'm very very disappointed. Buyers beware
