The suite consist of a software application bundled with a Socket SDIO In-Hand Scan Card that organizes private music and video collections based on UPC barcodes. The Socket OrganizeIT Suite is compatible with PC, Pocket PC and PalmOne devices, allowing information to be easily synchronized and updated between mobile devices and PCs for easy management. The suite also includes a barcode label printing program for labeling customized media.
The Socket OrganizeIT Suite's PC application searches the web to provide detailed information based on barcode data. This information gives power to consumers who want their music and movie collection data readily at their fingertips.
With the Socket OrganizeIT Suite, users are now able to track all music and movies by scanning hundreds of titles and store them for future purchases, rentals, or to rate items under consideration. Information can be available from the web or manually entered to complete a collection. The Socket OrganizeIT Suite also enables users to track music and movie items without barcodes because the Socket OrganizeIT Suite provides a barcode label maker for CDs, DVDs, VHS and other media that are custom designed by the users.
The Socket OrganizeIT Suite enables users to manually enter personal ratings or other notes to further customize entries. Once titles have been scanned and entered into the Socket OrganizeIT Suite, users can easily sort the items or search for specific music or video titles based on any of the key information captured. For instance, when pricing information is included, users can perform an automatic valuation of their collections for insurance purposes. Additionally, the Socket OrganizeIT Suite allows consumers to scan items under consideration to create detailed wish lists for future purchases and rentals. Socket’s OrganizeIT Suite is compatible with popular media playing and storing software programs such as Microsoft’s Media Player and Real Networks’ RealPlayer.

Music Application
Socket OrganizeIT Music is an application that manages a music collection of any size and medium. You can scan UPC or other bar codes from any medium such as CDs and DVDs to create a database that can be carried with you wherever you go. For medium that does not have a bar code, such as a custom made CD, you can use the Socket OrganizeIT Label print application to create your own bar code for tracking.
The Music application uses the web to search for information associated with a UPC bar code. Once a bar code is scanned using the Socket SDIO ISC, the Music application will search the web to provide data such as the title, artist, song list, price and more. This data can be stored in your mobile devices and PC to give you the flexibility to organize your music collection.

The Socket OrganizeIT Video is an application that manages a video collection of any size and medium. You can scan UPC or other bar codes from any medium such as DVDs and VHS to create a database that can be carried with you wherever you go. Label Printing Application
The Socket OrganizeIT Label printing application enables you to create bar code labels for any music or video medium. The Label application can create Code 39 or Code 128 bar codes using a variety of different Avery or Maco labels for printing. This application is a perfect complement for those custom music and video media that do not have a bar code.
SDIO In-Hand Scan Card & Keyboard Emulation Software
The Socket OrganizeIT Suite uses the Socket SDIO ISC to scan the UPC bar code on a music or video CD, DVD, VHS and more. The SDIO ISC is based on miniature Linear CMOS Imaging technology from Symbol Technologies. The SDIO ISC scans all popular linear bar code symbologies and uses minimal power during scanning to maximize battery life on your mobile device. SocketScan keyboard emulation software sends decoded data to any Palm application as virtual keystrokes.
Automatically decodes the most popular bar code symbologies including UPC/EAN, Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, MSI/Plessey, and Codabar. Other symbologies can be enabled by user with SocketScan Symbology selector.
Class 1 LED light source poses no safety or health hazards
Socket's SocketScan software for Palm and Windows converts scanned bar code characters into virtual keystrokes so that any Palm or Windows application treats the characters as though they were typed on a keyboard.
SocketScan enables the creation of prefixes and suffixes, such as Tab or Carriage Return, to further eliminate keystrokes in the data collection process.
SocketScan SDK for both Palm and Windows CE available for devleopers who wish to control the scanner and resulting data from within their application.
