You can wear the Butterfly II with our without an ear loop, since the earpiece slightly protrudes from the headset and comfortbly fits into your ear. The headset is so light weight you will barely notice it! This design makes it very easy and fast to put on and take off the headset. If you rather use a traditional ear loop to secure the headset, an optional one is included.
A convenient neck-string is also included in the package.

best for use in metal-working shop |
I've gone through a dozen Bluetooth headsets under $60 and all except the Mr Handsfree Butterfly II got clogged up with metal filings that stuck to the magnet in the earpiece. This one has an earpiece design that somehow makes it more difficult for the filings to get in there, and when they do, the rubber earpiece comes off so you can clean the filings off the speaker. (Hint: use non-magnetic tweezers, not a magnet to remove the filings so you don't mess up the tiny speaker!) This is also one of the very few inexpensive headsets I tried where both the person at the other end can hear me, and I can hear them.
