While Tom-Tom, Mapopolis and a slew of other mobile mappers scuffle over the finest format to get you from Point A to Point B, Earthcomber bills itself as a “favorite things finder.” The emphasis is not on its maps (which are free) but on what's happening on the map. That is, using GPS or faux GPS (you tap where you are on the screen), Earthcomber runs “combs,” or batch searches, for as many kinds of interests as you care to punch into your personalized lists. Inexpensive plug-in commercial guides ($10 to $15) replace paper city guides and put it all in the “Palm” of your hand.

I like better than google maps |
Everybody has maps, but this is incredible at finding everything around you in intgelligent ways. Whole lists to search, and you can customize.
Unless you are totally into mapping, use the mobile page - faster and takes up less room. http://mobile.earthcomber.com
