This is cool.
Imagine a meeting, your cell phone rings and you reach into your bag and pull this out. "Excuse me, I have to take this call!"

COOLIO !
I got this as a gift - the hubby knew I wanted one JUST for the novelty of it since it is so unusual. I charged it up, paired it with a Sony Ericsson w580i cell phone and tried it out. The sound is just fine contrary to many of the reviews. Just the right volume for me so lack of volume control doesn't even enter into it. I am heard fine on the other end too so again, no problems. The down side......the only one I can think of is that you cannot hear yourself thru the receiver so i wasn't sure at first if I was being heard - like I had a mute button on. But I am sure that I will get used to that little issue. Now I need to hunt down a shoulder rest! Can't wait to try it out in public.

Horrible sound
This handset definitely turns heads, but the sound quality for both parties is terrible!! The shell is hollow, allowing sound to reverberate before hitting the mic. Sounds like you're talking to someone inside an acoustic guitar. If you buy, buy it for novelty, not for use!

WONDERFUL
I got this as a gift and it is everything you would think it would be. HOWEVER, if for somereason you hear something rattling around inside the hand set, the caps UNSCREW don't just try to pry it off. I found out the hard way and had to re-solder the connections to the mouthpiece because I shot it across the room. Also if ANYONE has any luck finding the clamp-on type shoulder rest, please drop me a line. I've checked online, antique shops, etc. without result.

Same story
Excellent idea, poor execution. Makes you sounds horrible to receivers. Haven't tried the cotton-ball-approach, but not counting on that for a full solution.

Cool Idea...Sounds like garbage
I can hear people just fine, but they have trouble hearing me. My girlfriend either described it as garbly, or that I was slurring my words and had a bad head cold. The voice recognition on my phone was totally stymied by it, (To the point that Yeses and Nos were ignored). I wanted to like this product SO bad, but I can't talk to anybody but my closest friends, who have the patience to try and understand what I'm saying to them.

listeners complain about it
I've bought 2 of these now, hoping they would work.. I even called ThinkGeek, and the woman there told me she was using one as we were talking. I sincerely doubt it, because she sounded fine. Everyone I've tried to talk to while using the phone says they can barely understand me and that the phone sounds like it cuts out.
