I loved it. it totally worked and I have no worries if my cell phone dies when I'm camping and an emergency happens.

    This isn't a fuel cell
This thing is just a battery! It is a slow-reacting, high-capacity battery. All fuel cells produce pure water as a by-product of the reaction. Does this? The manufacturer's claim that regular batteries are only storage devices is incorrect. The energy is stored in the unused chemicals inside the battery, and released during the reaction, exactly like this device. All batteries have a shelf life because the battery comes "activated" from the factory. This device has a shelf life even before being activated. And a much shorter one after. One watt is not a lot of continuous power, but 60-80 watt-hours IS a lot of capacity. There! An upside! I can count on one hand the number of times I have had a cell phone battery die in the last 5 years. I don't even buy spare batteries anymore. If you experience dead batteries more than once every three months, then this might be for you. Otherwise, alkalines last for years and are readily available.

    reviews are those of speculators/investors
What you read here is just a carryover from the Medis stock discussion boards, where shorts and longs have been trading lies and hype passionately. My advice to you is, if the features promised for the price offered meets your needs, buy it. If not, don't. Price has come down: starter kit is now $24 on mytreo.net; replacement fuel cell is $20. Expect a little more reduction over the next year as the automated production line ramps up to 1.5 million per month, from the basically hand-made ones that have been sold to date.

    Huge value proposition here
for anyone like me who uses their Treo heavily on the go. No more worrying about running down the battery! No more limiting use to be sure I can get through the day! Where can I buy this Medis product???

$30 will buy a heck of a lot of Alkaline
batteries, if I want to keep a "stand-by" power source on hand.

    Why Waste $30?
I don't see the value proposition here. How many times are you going to carry around additional weight for the possibility that you won't be near an AC outlet? I would rather haul an extra battery around that was fully charged and could be used over and over again.
