Yep, those Palm smartphones just keep popping up on some of the television shows that I watch. Lately, I only get to watch the TV shows that I've missed by watching them online late at night when my best friend Insomnia comes for her nightly visits.
I'm always happy to see a Centro or Treo being used in any show. Last night I was watching last week's "NCIS" episode on my laptop and saw an NSA agent sporting a Treo 750. Cool! There were a few scenes in which the agent sent and received text messages on his Treo 750. I'm confused as to why the Media app is shown at the bottom of the text/chat screen though. Anyway, it was great to see the 750 in action on one of my favorite shows!
Agent McGee uses a first generation iPhone on the show. In the same episode mentioned above, Tony took a picture of some big computers and sent them to McGee's iPhone. You can see the pic above.
I was also catching up on the show "Fringe", which is really great. Most of the characters on "Fringe" use a BlackBerry. Olivia Dunham used hers on the episode I watched last night. She received a text and also used her BlackBerry to get directions. I know Kevin over at our sister site CrackBerry.com will appreciate these pics above. That BB looks like a Curve, yes? What's weird is that in some scenes, the phone looked so dark that I thought it was Black, and I even thought a couple of times that it was a Treo Pro. But when Olivia got a text message, there was a nice closeup and I could clearly see that the phone was a BlackBerry.
I also caught up on ER last night and saw one of the new interns, Daria, using what looked to be a Black Palm Centro. I hope to get a better look at her phone in future episodes though.
One of our readers wrote in and let me know that a character on "Desperate Housewives" uses a Centro. I don't watch that show but I did pull the latest episode up on my computer this morning and found a scene in which character Katherine Mayfair, played by Dana Delany, was using a Red Palm Centro. Sweet! Thanks for the tip Miles! ;-)
