No to webOS Doc to Go

Sat Sep 4, 2010 - 3:42 PM EDT - By Annie Latham

Looks like there will NOT be a webOS version of DataViz's Documents to Go.

According to a Facebook post:

DataViz, Inc. We regret to announce we have made the difficult decision to
cancel development for Docs To Go for WebOS. Unfortunately we weren't able to
overcome technical hurdles and that, in combination with another vendor
announcing they will bring a competitive product to market, has lead us to
this disappointing conclusion.

Upon further review, various sources (i.e. ZDNet's Matthew Miller and PreCentral's Jonathan Ezor), the story behind the story may be the acquisition of DataViz by BlackBerry maker Research in Motion for "a cool $50 million."

Ezor remarked, "We wouldn't be surprised to see all non-BlackBerry OS DataViz products discontinued or left to waste away in the land of no updates."
