Treo 600 Shipping, Handspring updates website
Update: We are getting reports that Handspring's supply is limited, and waiting time may be as high as 1 week for shipment. Other vendors still have units in stock for immediate shipping.
The Sprint Treo 600 has been widely reported on the boards to have shipped. The base price for the Sprint Treo 600 is $599, and a new activation credit rebate is $149, leaving the price for new Sprint users at $449. Sprint's telephone sales have been responsible for the majority of successful orders, but there are now reports of actual Treo 600's trickling into retail.
With the official release of the long awaited Treo 600, Handspring has finally updated their website with new information. Full descriptions and screenshots of most major features are included. Also, Handspring has created flash demo's of some of the new UI features.
Handspring is selling the Treo 600 for $449 after a new service contract, and $399 if you are an existing Treo owner. Release dates for T-Mobile, Cingular, and AT&T are still unknown.
