The Sync & Charge also coincidently charges. There are three ways that it can do this: When plugged into a desktop or laptop, the Sync & Charge trickle charges the Treo using the small power that USB ports provide. Or, one can purchase an AC power adaptor, or a car adaptor. (Both available at store.treocentral.com and boxwave for $9.95; many other retailers also carry this same product)
The AC brick is very compact. The brick sits perpendicular to the plug, so that when plugged in other outlets are not blocked. A red LED on top indicates that it is working. On the end of the brick is a female USB port for the Sync & Charge to plug into. When plugged in, the Treo receives a full charge akin to using the normal Treo wall plug. As with the cable itself, the small form factor of the brick enables it to be great for portability.
The DC car adaptor is as simple as can be. One end of the little bar plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car, and the other end as a female USB plug on it. As with the AC brick, a red LED lights up when it is plugged in. The added benefit of the retractable Sync & Charge cable and the car adaptor is that unlike other car charging cables, there is no extra cable to clutter ones car with.
