Butler 1.62

Thu Jun 10, 2004 - 11:54 AM EDT - By Michael Ducker

Overview

Not often does one application come around that fixes so many shortcomings of of a device, but Butler 1.62, formally called Treo Butler, does just that. The application, originally developed right here on the TreoCentral boards, has grown from being an application that turns the volume buttons into scroll buttons, to an application that does that, plus LED control, keyboard launching, alarms, screen guard, attention manager and much more. All for only $6.95 - you can see where I'm going with this review, I love it!

All these features reside in an application called Butler. Keeping with the idea that this is your Treo's Butler, the first screen you see asks you whether you are a Sir or a Madam, so that it may address you appropriatly. Once that dilemma is figured out you see the main control panel. On it are six buttons linking to six different panels. I'll go over the features next.
