Grippy

Egrips are very "grippy". They feel great when holding in ones hands, and they do not allow the Treo to slide around on tables or car dashboards. I've included some fun, yet unreasonable pictures of egrips in action. First, is a picture of my Treo resting on the steering wheel of my car. Second, is a set of three pictures showing how they can stick to even the oddest places: like a woven copper ball. As you can see from the picture of the back of the ball, it does not take much surface area for egrips to grip onto any platform.

There is a drawback to making the entire back of your Treo grippy. Many cases that are very tight and rely on friction to hold the Treo in, such as the Innopocket aluminum case, or a Vaja Ivolution, will not work with a Treo that has egrips on. Egrips provide far to much resistance to attach and remove the Treo from such cases. Other than that, I have no complaints about the usage of egrips.

When I saw that egrips were removable, I also instantly assumed that they would be reusable. That is not the case as I found out, but it's nothing negative either. When I removed the black egrips that covered the back of my Treo 600, it was attached so well that in some cases when pulling off the egrip, it separated; the clear dimpled elastomer layer came off leaving behind a a few pieces of black colored sticker. It forced me to do a small amount of cleanup, but nothing more than scraping two little bits off with my fingernail. Amazingly, egrips, like a post-it, leave behind no residue of the adhesive. If it did, you can use the second of the two provided alcohol wipes to wipe off any leftover gook.
