Cingular acquisition of AT&T Wireless two months away
A Yahoo News/The Deal.com article claims that Cingular's $41 billion proposed acquisition of AT&T Wireless may happen sooner than later.
"Sources said the Justice Department (news - web sites) investigation into the deal is in its final stages and should be wrapped up by Sept. 25. The Federal Communication Commission would then conclude its probe in October. Cingular had predicted clearance late in the fourth quarter, and many analysts expected it to occur in 2005."
AT&T Wireless and Cingular both carry the Treo 600; many Treo users will be affected by this acquisition when it happens.
