Verizon Wireless talks 700p
Verizon plans to sell the 700p within the next few weeks for $400 with the signing of a 2-yr contract.
The Treo 700p from Verizon Wireless offers the following Services and
Features
- Built-in Dial-up Networking (DUN) Capabilities
- Integrated Bluetooth® wireless technology for communicating with
compatible headsets, car kits and computers equipped with Bluetooth
technology;
- EV-DO access for faster downloads of data, email, large attachments and
streaming multimedia content
- Support for Wireless Sync to provide the convenience of push e-mail and
easy access to personal information-management tools, such as contacts and
calendar, as well as enterprise tools, such as device management and file
synchronization
- Multiple messaging applications, including email, SMS and MMS;
- Enough memory to manage business and personal digital needs in one place
with 128MB of memory and 60MB of dedicated user storage.
- Intel® XScale® technology-based processor
- Includes a 1.3-megapixel camera and camcorder, offering four times the
resolution of a VGA camera
- Superior phone functionality, including personalized ring tones for
various categories of callers and the ability to respond to a call with text
messaging
- New voice-memo application, which can be used to create custom ring
tones, add voice annotations to photos or simply record a memo
- Enhanced email and messaging, including better Microsoft Exchange Server
2003 ActiveSync support, which now includes contact sync in addition to
email and calendar, as well as threaded SMS/MMS messages in a single chat
view and out-of-the-box support for Yahoo!, AOL, and Gmail

The Verizon Wireless Network
The Palm Treo 700p operates on the Verizon Wireless award-winning voice
network. The Treo 700p also utilizes the companys BroadbandAccess network the
nations most award-winning wireless broadband network to send and receive
data. Verizon Wireless customers using the Treo 700p can expect average download
speeds of 400-700 kilobits per second.
Since its inception, Verizon Wireless has invested $30 billion -- $5 billion per
year on average -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network
and to add new services.
Plans and Pricing
Verizon Wireless customers can choose from three calling plans that all include
unlimited data access via the Verizon Wireless BroadbandAccess service:
$79.99 a month. Includes 450 minutes with unlimited data usage*, unlimited IN
calling and unlimited nights and weekends($0.45 per minute after allowance).
$109.99 a month. Includes 1350 minutes with unlimited data usage*, unlimited IN
calling and unlimited nights and weekends($0.35 per minute after allowance).
$169.99 a month. Includes 4000 minutes with unlimited data usage*, unlimited IN
calling and unlimited nights and weekends ($0.25 per minute after allowance).
Plans and Pricing for BroadbandAccess Connect for Bluetooth and tethered
Dial Up Networking
Customers with the Treo 700p and an unlimited data plan with qualifying voice
plan can get unlimited BroadbandAccess Connect for $15.00 monthly access
Customers with the Treo 700p can get BroadbandAccess Connect with an unlimited
data plan for $30 monthly access.
