Overview

Sometimes, the best carrying case for the Treo isn't a beltclip case or a skin case will little protection. You want something that you can toss into a backpack or suitcase that protects the Treo while traveling. The Handspring Neoprene Sport Case provides decent protection when in a bag while serving as a historic reminder of the Treo's roots.

Usability

I love outdoor activities. I try to go camping, fishing, snow skiing, and scuba diving whenever I can, and wearing the Treo on my belt isn't the best thing to do in these situations. The Handspring Sport Case is great to take along for these trips, as I can slide the Treo in and out quickly after opening the lid. The lid is secured by a wide velcro strip, and the only part of the Treo that is exposed is part of its antenna.

The case has an adjustable belt-loop and a D-ring that you can attach to a bag using a carabiner (not included). I prefer to toss it inside the outside flap of a bag so I can get to it quickly if the phone rings.

The neoprene is quite thick, and the pouch is big enough to let you keep the Treo inside a skin case and still slide in and out of the sport case. The sides of the case are soft rubber and make the case easy to grip.

The case also serves a historic keepsake of handheld history. The Handspring logo is emblazoned on the front of the case and is a great memento for those of us who remember The Good Ol' Days and have a bit of nostalgia for the company that Hawkins and Dubinsky founded.
