Update: We "buried the lede" on this originally (see below), but the Rogers Treo 750 comes with Windows Mobile 6, the latest version of Windows Mobile. This means that Vodafone and Rogers both have the Windows Mobile 6 update for the Treo 750, but AT&T customers in the US are still left in the lurch. What's the hold up?
Well, I'm glad to see that the Palm Treo 750 has made its way to Rogers Wireless in Canada today. That's great news for our Canadian friends!
Palm Canada announced the availability of the Palm Treo 750 today. The 750 will be the first Treo to run on the Rogers' High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network.
Canadian mobile professionals will enjoy the Treo 750 which provides the new Windows Mobile 6 Professional software and an exceptional world-phone experience. The Treo 750 offers broadbandlike download speeds and global roaming capabilities on its color touch-screen.
Powerful business features combined with Palm usability improvements, such as photo speed dial and Direct Push Technology (2), allow Palm customers added freedoms. Users can access multiple business and personal email accounts, including Outlook(R) email, and get easy updates to calendar, contacts and tasks while leveraging high-speed web access on the go.
The Treo 750 also has a full QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging, a bright 240x240 colour touch-screen and support for Bluetooth(R) stereo headsets. The built-in 128MB memory (60MB user available) can be enhanced by using the mini-SD slot to add memory cards of up to 4GB (sold separately), which are great for storing data, photos, music and video.
I'm sure all those in Canada who have been waiting for the Treo 750 are happy to hear this news. I've read on the TreoCentral forums that people have been waiting for this. Some have bought a Treo 750v.
