Coming Soon! Palm Pixi due to land at Sprint on Nov 15

Mon Oct 26, 2009 - 5:15 PM EDT - By Annie Latham

The next in the family of webOS-based smartphones, the Palm Pixi, is due to arrive at Sprint on November 15, for $99.99 (after rebates and with a two-year service agreement).

In addition to Sprint's stores and online at www.sprint.com, it can be purchased at Best Buy, and at select Shack and Wal-Mart stores.

There was a write-up at Information Week that pointed out how the Pixi, at .43-inches thick, was "sleeker and thinner" than the Palm Pre, iPhone 3GS, and even the BlackBerry Bold 9700. It was also noted how the Pixi is capable of multitasking, mobile e-mailing, and Web browsing, just like its sibling, the Palm Pre. Lastly, since it was pointed out that the Pixi will be somewhat enterprise-friendly for businesses with a Microsoft Exchange server because it comes with Microsoft ActiveSync.

For a refresher on the Pixi's specs, check out our sister site, PreCentral's special Pixi section.
