Voice Dialing updated, still no Bluetooth support

Fri May 6, 2005 - 5:09 PM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

palmOne has released an update to the Treo Voice Dialing software. Unfortunately, there is still no Bluetooth support, so you can't initiate a call using speech recognition with a Bluetooth headset. Only wired headsets and the built-in microphone works.

Voice Dial v. 1.1.01. Released: 05/03/2005

- Improved recognition with large Contact lists
- Improved audio playback quality
- Reduced RAM requirements (execution space)
- Recognition for new Contacts is now a background task

Treo Voice Dialing is free for 14 days. After 14 days, digit dialing continues to work, but name dialing is disabled unless purchased.

It is beyond me as to why the smartest smartphone on the market still doesn't support Bluetooth voice dialing, many months after its release.
