Cingular GPRS imminent?

Tue Jan 14, 2003 - 4:33 PM EST - By Marcus Adolfsson

Handspring mentioned that Cingular GPRS was now available in their latest newsletter, but nothing has been posted on their site yet. Mistake or pre-announcement?

Faster, persistent data services for your Treo communicator

Cingular customers, GPRS data services are now available for your
Treo 270 or Treo 180 communicator. By upgrading your Treo
communicator with GPRS data services, your email and web browsing
will be better than ever with faster, persistent, more reliable
connections to high-speed networks. Because, with GPRS data, you
don't need to dial up every time you want to get on the
Internet--you don't even need an ISP. You can even be notified of
incoming calls while you're checking email or surfing the web.

Thanks to Bill for the news tip.
