FAQ: Does the Treo 600 support the push-to-talk feature?

FAQ #14: Phone Use. By treo.tc. Status: Public, 16499 views. Flag for Review

The Treo 600, as configured by PalmOne, currently does not support this feature. Push-to-talk is a walkie-talkie like feature made popular by Nextel. Other carriers have started shipping phones that support this feature as well. For example, Sprint markets a push-to-talk feature under the name "Ready-Link".

It is not impossible for the Treo to support Push-to-talk. In Europe, Orange, runs the "Talk Now" system, and the Treo 600 was the launch device for their new "Talk Now" technology.
