WSJ: Treo 270, Treo 90 out next week

Thu May 23, 2002 - 10:01 AM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

Walter Mossberg at the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Handspring will introduce the Treo 270 and Treo 90 next week.

The Treo 270, a color version of the Treo 180, will be available for $499 with service activation, $699 without. That is a $100 lower than the price given at the initial announcement late last year.

Mossberg states that Treo 270’s “bright new color screen is very nice and is powered by a slightly larger battery, so battery life is a bit better than on the monochrome model.”

His article also confirms last week rumors about the Treo 90, which is a PDA only with a color screen, QWERTY keyboard, and SD slot in Treo’s skin.
